Lisa Lavin is founder and CEO of Anser Innovation, developer of PetChatz®. She has more than 20 years senior leadership experience building new business and commercializing new healthcare and animal care products and services within start-up and Fortune 100 companies.
Prior to her business focus, Lisa taught post-secondary veterinary radiography and pharmacology at the Medical Institute of Minnesota and authored the textbook Radiography in Veterinary Technology, (2007, 2003, 1999, 1994), Saunders Elsevier Publishing.
Lisa founded Anser Innovation, a technology company developing internet-based software and hardware to enhance remote interaction. Anser’s vision is to connect the disconnected, focusing on market segments where remote connection is currently difficult or impossible. Its first target is the retail pet market with PetChatz. Future markets include the aging adult and dependent child markets.
Lisa holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business and is a proud owner of two standard poodles (Sam and Hattie).
In 2012, Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal named her one of 25 “Women to Watch” in the Twin Cities business community.
